Who do we train?

If you are a doctor, dentist or nurse you are eligible for training with or have the opportunity to undertake mentorship with SMOOTH Medical. You will be trained by the very best in the industry with no compromise on the quality or quantity of the experience you will receive.

Can nurses administer BOTOX®?

There is a lot of confusion as to the legality of nurses administering BOTOX® if they are not a prescriber. The NMC and RCN have issued guidance for nurses who wish to train in botox administration. However, this does not mean that nurses who have not undertaken their V300 course will not be able to train to administer botox injections. If you train with us you will have the opportunity, locality permitting, to access our prescribing service. This means your clients will be assessed face to face, a prescription will be written and you will receive a direction to administer. This is in line with the NMC guidance as this method of true face to face consultations are not remote prescriptions. If you have trained elsewhere depending upon who you trained with we would have to assess your competency before we prescribe for you. This is because we need to make sure you have been suitably trained and exposed to enough practical experience.

I am studying the independent nurse prescribing course, what can you offer me?

For those nurses who are undertaking their V300 nurse prescribing course, you can undertake mentorship sessions with Tracy, our independent nurse prescriber, which will count towards your 90 clinical hours. Here you can spend clinical sessions achieving learning outcomes relevant to your specific needs. You will still need a designated medical professional to sign your clinical assessment tool. If you do not have a DMP it may be possible for us to find a Doctor for you, although an additional charge is payable to the Doctor for this.

What is the cost for mentorship?

We offer bespoke mentorship sessions so please contact us with details of what you wish to be mentored in, how many hours or clinical sessions you wish to undertake and over what period of time you wish it to be taken. We will then calculate a personalised quote for you.

What products will I be trained to inject?

For dermal fillers we use Juvedérm Ultra and Restylane so you are able to use the very best fillers within the industry. For our botox sessions we use authentic BOTOX®, for safety, efficacy and public recognition. If you wish to use other products that are FDA approved we can arrange for this to be done during private mentorship sessions.
